For more than a decade, I've had the opportunity to work with U.S. companies across a wide range of business functions, including IT Support, Customer Service, Technical Support, Sales, Telemarketing, Insurance, Collections, and Team Leadership. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of what businesses need to build successful remote teams.
About five years ago, I was given the opportunity to help establish the first successful Costa Rican operation for a U.S. entrepreneur. From recruiting and hiring to building processes, training employees, and managing day-to-day operations, I helped turn an idea into a growing remote workforce that continues to support multiple businesses in the United States.
That experience showed me there was a better way. Small businesses deserved access to the same high-quality remote talent without the complexity and overhead of traditional outsourcing. That's the idea that became Umana Group.

Throughout my career, I've worked in roles that have allowed me to understand businesses from multiple angles. From IT Support and Technical Support to Customer Service, Sales, Insurance, Collections, Telemarketing, Operations, and Team Leadership, each experience has helped me better understand how successful teams are built and managed.
Over the years, I've recruited, interviewed, hired, trained, and led remote teams, implemented operational processes, coached employees, monitored performance, and worked closely with U.S. business owners to help their teams succeed. Because I've personally worked in many of the roles companies hire for, I understand the skills, mindset, and professionalism required to identify candidates who can become valuable long-term team members.
